Iced delights
Six months after Jo had her daughter, she decided to bake some biscuits. This might not sound like a momentous move, or even an ambitious one, but it was the start of big things for this Clayfield mum. "I discovered that I really liked baking, so when a friend suggested I do a wedding cake course at TAFE (South Bank), I thought, 'What have I got to lose?'" says Jo. "I'm sure I was the worst student," she laughs, "as everyone else had so many years' experience." Jo's cakes are wonderfully creative, and she's selling plenty through her Delicious Dainties company. "I started making cakes for friends, and I was getting really excited about all the different things you could come up with - I was tired of roses and bows. It sounds corny, but my daughter really was my inspiration." Jo's cakes come in eight flavours, and cost from $95 (cake only).

Everybody loved it! There were about 4 other parties happening at the same time and all the mum's commented on the cake (it was the best one there, by far!). All the kids loved it (taste wise) and Evelyn was very happy with how it looked. Thank you so much for your efforts at such short notice, so much appreciated. The thank you card was nice too!
Cheers for now,
Jo
Hi Jo,
Wow, where do I start?! Thanks so much for the amazing christening cupcake creation! Everybody commented on how lovely it looked and of course how delicious it tasted!
It really gave the party that special sense of occasion and every last cupcake was gone by about 3pm! (You can see from the cake-cutting photo attached that they were disappearing fast - thought we'd better cut the cake whilst there were still some left!!!)
It's been a real pleasure working with you, you made the whole process so easy! My sister and her husband asked me to pass on their thanks to you as well - your cake really made the celebration special.
I attached a couple of pics of the cake - sorry that they're not fantastic photos, they don't do it justice!
Many thanks again and kind regards,
Meg :-)

Thank you so much for your incredibly generous gift of Ethan's cake. He
loved it and getting him away from it this morning was a real challenge.
The cake was incredibly moist and even those who don't usually eat cake came
back for seconds! Yum, oh yum :)
Thank you again. You are too kind.
